I never understand why some people have it slap bang in the middle of their vision, either,
Mines central, but low, all it "covers" is the centre section of the bonnet

It works perfectly where it is, TBH, its roughly at the same level as my external mirrors,
Just as easy to check mirrors ( Yes I know some people find this an alien concept) and the sat nav at the same time
