That looks like a fantastic deal, a roll of HP5+ costs nearly a fiver anyway!

I'm amazed they can do it at the price - perhaps there is a new 120 Holga with a 43MP 6x6 sensor on the way

This is actually even better than it looks.

At Focus last year Harman gave me a "pro" discount card. I don't think they are hard to get and I bet the codes are on the web.

That gets you 10% off and free delivery. 2 "cameras" + 2 rolls of HP5 + 2 sets of prints for £34 delivered :D

Just got the dispatch email, it's even better than expected. Attached is an order form for the processing and it also includes 5x7 or 6x6 silver gelatine prints! I thought it was just "processing", well impressed!

Mine just got delivered by courier, great service and the free prints are a great bonus.

You all realise this is pretty much like crack dealers giving out free drugs to get you hooked.... :D

I can only afford to buy film because I rob kids on their way to school lol

Talk of feeding the habit - you lot have inspired me to place another order for another camera plus the filter holder and a cable release.

It's not for me of course - I have a friend who may also be Holgaholic........

The idea of using their special cable release with such a basic camera is mind blowing - can't wait to see the results of long exposures with a plastic lens - but at these prices it's good value and a huge amount of fun.

Perhaps we need a thread for all the results from the "Xmas Harman-Holga Bonzer Bonanza" - could be great fun to see everyone's efforts

Great idea! Though mine's going to the Mrs as a fun little present, so I hold no responsibility for the photographic quality, or lack of lol.

Although if she does well, I'll claim them as my own :) that's just how I roll

LOL Danny - Hmmmmmmm "Holga" and "photographic quality" in the same sentence - Hmmmmmmmm

I'm seriously thinking of seeing if there is enough interest to organise a Holga day in Portsmouth in the New Year - everyone I've mentioned this camera and offer to has been asking to see it, have a go with it and see the results.

No pressure then  - but it could be a lot of fun for anyone able to make it to Portsmouth and have a Holga experience.

As a result of this thread, I found out for the first time there is a thriving Holga shop in Southsea and they staged a Holga exhibition last month which I knew nothing about and missed the event on my doorstep - Bah humbug!

Still, they are doing the same again in the Spring so plenty of time to get some practice in and see how the plastic lens and lo-fi camera build quality can be used to best advantage.

A day by the sea for a bit of Holga action, sounds like fun.

I used to have a Holga but it went travelling and "softly and silently vanished away...." :(

Have you seen the latest of the epic holga saga? "kiss of the holga", "the way of the holga", "crouching tog, hidden holga"?

I believe Conde Nast, during a massive hissy fit at a vogue photographer, said if I hand you that ash tray, and you can't take an entertaining picture of it, then you are no photographer.

Something like that,lol.

Either way, it's still a tool. A shoddy as **** tool, but a tool none the less lol

Alongside other classics..

"A Fistful of Holgas", "For a Few Holgas More" and "The Good, the Bad and the Holgas".

I just wanted to see the second to fifth reels of the Holga Road Movie :shake: - Probably something like "Flare and Blurring in Lost Velvias"

It is gutting Mark, I can't believe Helga hasn't turned up.

Didn't Pete say he was going to sort something out? Well if Pete can't then I'm happy to start the ball rolling again with my spanky new Holga, I was so looking forward to my turn and there seemed to be so much interest it would be a shame to let it fizzle out.

Lol legend

Dudes, I can use skyport radio triggers with this plastic thing can't I? Pretty sure I can, it has a hot shoe so I'm guessing yes!

Roll on a tonne of flash and a £20 plastic camera, woohoooooo!

Ps. Please correct me if I'm wrong lol

Just ordered one - should be good for a laugh for 20 quid :)
Make some fun Christmas pics at least!

Great comments on this thread everyone - fantastic fun to read.

Continuing the Hollywood Holga theme has anyone seen "The Holga that kicked the hornets nest" or when customised to prevent the built in light leaks "The Holga with the Dragon Tattoo"?

Love the idea of using a skyport radio trigger Mahoneyd187!!!!

I've just been reading about one Holga owner claiming to use a 550EX on his....that must be some sight

If anyone wants to take advantage of this offer you have to "Buy before Friday the 9th December".

I'd hate for anyone to miss out if they want one.

 Though seriously, who knows what the sync will be....?

As it happens, there's a very big box of lights sitting in the hall right now. It literally has your name on it. Me? I guess I'll have to see how the Holga does with the Brons......

[BTW I'm starting to realise why I stay out of the film forum - you're all maaaaaaad!]

I've yet to use a holga, but I think they've only got one shutter speed, 1/100. So I assume, quite safely I think lol, that may be the sync speed.

You've bought a holga too? You fit in better than you think ;)

Woohoo toys!

No. I bought two Holgas ;)

BTW been reading up and apparently the flash will fire twice - once when you press the shutter and once when you release it. You might need to cover the lens before releasing the shutter if your flash cycles quickly.

I have just grabbed one as a pressie for someone, absolute bargain! I didn't get one for myself as I still have a film in the Lubitel that has been there for a couple of months and also 5 rolls of 35mm to develop!

Yeah I read that too. Will give it a test with no film in first, with a fixed shutter speed of 1/100s hopefully problems shouldn't be too prominent

Oh - I thought it meant as you took your finger off the button.

Worth a test before risking a precious roll of film :)

BTW will I be all good with one for square and one for non square? Or do I need to have multiple bodies for different ISOs? What if one of them fails at a wedding?
