Hahaha what the hell!!!

It's cos it's a Canon
According to a spokesman the officials found a couple of Nikon shots that were so badly recorded it slowed the whole site down and they now need to be removed and binned. :p

still i will say one thing for canon they were good with there cash back , i`ll purchased a 5d last year with £85 cash back . after a few weeks i hadn`t got it . so i got in touch with them . they said sorry and i would get it asap . a week later 2 both for £85 arrived :thumbs:. got them banked warp speed :clap:

I was told that the Nikon shots were pulling that many votes the server went down and the Canon marketing dept were running for cover. ;)

Yep - exactly the embarrassing-for-Canon story I heard too

Although in the version I got (straight from a very worried insider at Canon Japan maybe), was that the fantastic Nikon entries were all taken on an old Coolpix by a one-legged, half-blind granny in Doncaster of her recent holiday in Skegness with someone called Mable

Seems granny was trying to email then to her son and mistakenly entered (and is winning) the Canon comp!!!

Just shows what quality there is in Nikon & their Users I guess

:lol::lol::lol:

I wouldn't expect anything else of a nikon user, old grannies camera sounds about right to me :lol:

I think they are removing all the Windows Vista images :D

Seems the site is back up, but I'm still not too clear on the whole voting process. Can anyone shed some light on it?

Just go to my image in the macro section and click on vote but you have to be logged in ;)

LMAO at this thread! What a great way for Nikon users to upgrade their gear... enter this competition and win loads of Canon gear. :lol:

I thought it was a Canon comp?

So as Nikon users by definition don't have Canon cameras - for your comment to be true, wouldn't we have to first win it to enter it?

:cuckoo::cuckoo::cuckoo:

I'd love a load of free Canon gear though, I could sell it on here to those of a lesser mind and buy a new 'proper' lens

:razz:

Likewise, would appreciate peoples votes, if they think my image is worth one:)

Obviously you are correct, however maybe you should have read the whole thread, I was just following the craziness of this thread and all the comments about Nikon entries.
