Well am on holiday now until Jan 3rd (One advantage of being a teacher:thumbs:). Any others starting the holidays this week. Hope to get out and use the fairly new camera and brand new lens in the next couple of weeks.

Yeah your right Joe, but after doing 10 years in the Army, I reckon I was due an easy life for a bit.

bloody teachers, get so much holiday time, slackers

They're working all the holidays, or so they say whenever you point out how many holidays they get :D

I'm working right up to Christmas eve (I work in retail). Our store is only closed Christmas day. So If you decide to go shopping on Boxing day please spare a thought for those poor shop assistants who are HAVING to work!!!
I know that there are other people who have to work during Christmas but do we REALY need shops to open 363 days a year

Sorry rant over.Have a great holiday however long or short it is:)

Have never worked a holiday yet. Those that do, aren't able to organize and have to spend time at work. Still as an Art teacher I just go to poundland, buy a load of colouring books, photocopy and give them to the kids to colour in. Don't get many GCSE results above "D" grade, but hey, who earns a living at Art, apart from people like me, raking in K50 for doing a max of 5 hours a day (if I'm unlucky!) This year I have a total of 15 teaching hours a week- Can hardly keep eyes open due to stressful workload.

My team still have about 20 cars to deliver, 12 of which are yet to arrive at the dealership so will be working right through to Christmas Eve making sure the families get there nice shiny new toys for Christmas. Have a quick break for Christmas Day and Boxing Day and then back at it on the 27th and getting ready to start the new year...

You jammy b****r  but good on ya

Lada of course :D

Too right Tori, do a proper days work? You must be joking. Also got news this week that I 've been offered a job in Kent at the same pay, but only 4 days a week. More time for togging!!!

While I was and am in favour of Sunday shopping part of me thinks it's a shame that we have lost our Sunday's. I certainly feel that shops should not be allowed to open at all on boxing day.

Off from the 22nd til 30th December. First time I've been able to get some days off at this time of year for donkeys. Really looking forward to not setting the alarm clock

4 Dayer for me too Rob! We didn't do those degrees for nowt did we?! Put your feet up and just put stars on all the homework like I do, no need for a red pen :)

Don't think I've got the energy to put stars on their work, too tired to lift an arm.

Cough.......another happy chappy off till the new year :beer::banana::banana::beer::beer:

Holidays started on wednesday..doesn't everyone have three weeks off at christmas :D

well while you all are 'celebrating' your time off

spare a thought for the cabbie who will be driving you home

Should have finished next Wednesday, but I have some holiday owing so I finished today. I'm still going in on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday to use the gym, might sneak in on Sunday and Thursday for the same reason too.:) I'll get withdrawal symptoms if I miss the gym for too long, too busy in the day to train elsewhere so I'll be training at 4:45 in the morning as usual. I'll probably still have lost weight by the time I go back on the 3rd anyway as my appetite dwindles when I'm not training. :(

Cheers Tezz, went for interview on Mon and they rang to confirm appointment on Weds. Over the moon, and will be living by the sea at last! Will give you a ring or PM. Was thinking of trying M40 Junction 6 this Sunday, weather forecast looks good at the moment.
