I took one or two pictures of a bus that had hit a bridge locally.
Later that night I sent some into the news desk of a regional newspaper. Got a reply saying they would like to use 2 pics could I send high res copies.
I duly did noting that if used I wanted recognition. All was agreed and everyone happy.
Later that night I get an email from the Dep Editor saying thanks etc and wanting my address as they would like to pay me for the pics.
Good stuff methinks and quite chuffed!
This morning I get a letter from their accounts dept asking for my bank details etc, as they pay bank transfer only, and a requesting an invoice for the pics used.
As no price was mentioned and like any other amateur I was happy to get my pics in the paper, so the big question is, how much do I ask?
One was on front page in colour and one B/W later in the paper.
