Greetings from a newbie to your forum.
Been lurking for a couple of days and I'm impressed with how friendly and helpful you all are.
I use the Canon 50D and its mostly coupled up to the Canon 100 - 400 L. which I use mainly for garden birds. Do play around with a Canon 18 - 200 from time to time.
 
Hi Paul, welcome to the forum. Quite a lot of people use the Canon 100-400mm for birds on the forum, I would check out some photos that they post in the birds/wildlife section, you may get some good tips from them. Glad you have joined after your good first impression.

Thanks Andy. I have been glued to the bird forum all morning :)
So much to see and read in TP going to take a while to get up to scratch

welcome to the forum. Fairly new myself and will be looking harder at my birds and getting used to the new equipment I have invested in since retiring end of August.

I'm a cute little furry animals freak myself but it's always good to see a new wildlife stalker sign on.
