well I've just completed my registration & I thought I'd pop along here to say allreet.

I'm a novice who has a keen interest in photography & I'm very eager to learn so any guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I've just become the proud owner of a Canon 400D complete with a Canon 18-55mm lens & a Tamron 70-300mm tele lens. So far I'm loving the quality of the pictures the camera takes when in the basic modes but I'm not happy with the quality of the pictures I'm taking when I'm let loose to fiddle with the settings. I'm sure it’s down to a lack of understanding on my behalf but I need to be convinced :naughty: sometimes I get lucky but it is improving slowly.
 
Hello :)

Takes a while to get better at setting the camera yourself than 'auto' but there's no going back once you have mastered it.
