Hitech (Formatt) Glass HD filters

I've got a Lee Big Stopper and a Hitech 6-stop resin ND filter for when I need something a bit less than the Lee, but I find I'm not using it very much because of the magenta cast it produces.

Has anyone got any experience of the Hitech HD glass filters (http://www.formatt.co.uk/hd-glass-filters/standard-n-d/hd-glass-filters.aspx)? I'm thinking of getting the 6-stop (1.8), but can't find much info on them. If they produce the same cast as the resin ones then there's no point, but the Lee has a much cooler cast to it which is easier to remove, if they Hitechs are like this then it could complement the Lee quite nicely.

Hi,

After quite a lot of research, I settled on a Light Craft ND500 filter for my ND experimentation! It's a MC filter, and my first few sample shots seem to be pretty neutral.

I bought it from here:

But if you google Light Craft ND500 you should find more info.

I have the hitech .3 .6 & .9 grad and nd set, happy with them although don't use them that often at all. Good service when I ordered them...

Hi i have a 2.1 and its pretty much unusable. i also have the Grads and they are superb so i don't know what went wrong with this filter.

Thanks, that fits with my experience of the resin 6-stop. Seems like nobodies tried the glass NDs
