Hello more knowledgeable people,

I have a 8x7 hilite, don't mind shooting a bit of high key, but is it possible to buy anything to change the colour of it, gel's or anything ?

I have done it with success but it does eat away at the power of the light.

Bought mine from eBay seller fotofox100, give him a ring and he'll mix and match colours etc for a good price. Knowledgable too.

Can I ask if the Hilite was lit with 1 or 2 lights with the blue gel?

Lovely shot Paul, am i right in thinking you have the gel fixed to the light then put inside the Hi-lite, or is it done from the outside, a bit more info on the setup would be greatly appreciated :)
 
Hi, I light mine with just one SB800 in manual mode using gels if needed. I put the maximum diffusion on the flash and put it inside the Hi-Lite very low down and pointing upwards.

I've also juggled around with gels and managed to get a very successful Croma Green Screen colour. Works perfectly for me. Hope this helps.
 
Sorry for the delay in replying, I have not been on the Forum for a while. This is shot with blue gel over one light firing into the the Hi-Lite and a gridded beauty dish for key.
