Hello all :wave:

I've been a lurker for a while and decided to join tonight so I can read all the forums properly :)

I'm only just starting out in photography on a serious level with an interest in animal photopraphy, although I have always had a fascination with photography and cameras.

Currently only have a digital point and shoot which take some cracking shots (well I think so) but I'm looking for advice and guidance on what to move onto next, ie what SLR to buy so I don't waste my hard earned pennies ;)

Here are a few shots I have taken in their original format, no touching up/editing has gone on.

As you'll see, my interest is animal phototography and I have some wonderful subjects.

Howdy :) welcome to the forums! Some really cute shots to start off with too :) Love the first shot, dont know much about animal photography myself but I love that pose, nothing wrong with any of the other shots either :) all sharp and well exposed :thumbs: look forward to going "Awww" to loads more shots :)

Welcome! I really like number 2, but then I've got a massive soft spot for puppies!
 
Well I am your woman Dizzy! I have a friend with a litter due anytime after the new year so I'll be Chief Puppy Photographer ;-)

I have always found blacks SO hard to get right - either the flash washes them out/over exposes them or they're really under exposed :thinking: Ah well - I'll get there. I'm on a steep learning curve :D
 
Can anyone tell me why my signature appears on some posts and not on others? The "show my signature" box is always ticked.... :thinking:

It's a special feature, designed to confuse people explained here ;)

Welcome Lucy, also got a couple of labs, might have a look into that forum later on :)
