As a family we have been involved with a charity called Fulfil the Wish based in Bradford. They specialise in organising sightseeing and adventure trips for children with life limiting conditions. As they help us out a huge amount with William, and in an effort to give somthing back to them, I always give them a disk of images to use for publicity. Mary, the organiser, asked if I could enter two pictures for them into the National Council of Volunteer Organisations photo competition so I did

This one was picked out as Highly Commended and I am well chuffed :woot::woot::woot::banana::banana::banana:

You deserve to be well chuffed, it's a great image. Well done

Nice one :) and fair play. Proper work that is.

We have a daughter with CP, we fund raised independently for 2 years to take her to the States for surgery and post-op-physio and care. During that time I was pretty much the events photographer, some of my pics made tv and newpapers, felt great :)

Thanks peeps

Keith - how is your daughter now??????

Great photo. And it must have been slightly more difficult given the angle!

Got a link to the charity. This is the sort of think I like to support, as they go out of their way to get people doing stuff and showing disabled and none-disabled people that in this day and age very little is not possible if you have the right support. My Mum is a teacher in a school for children with disabilities, and the discrimination and lack of opportunity many of them have after that education is quite frankly disgusting.

Thanks very much

The charities ethos is very much on giving experiences, be that Disneyland Paris or outdoor adventure type stuff. They (and a whole host more of my pictures!!) can be found at http://www.fulfilthewish.org/
