Hello folks

I would like to adjust these in acr in Photoshop CS2... I seem to recall that it can be done or am I getting confused with Canon DPP?:bonk::shrug:

Cheers!

in Photoshop it's an Auto Levels option. You set the clipping there for how you want the Auto Levels to adjust your image,. i don't think the Shadow/Highlight does that in Ps?

A pity that...would have liked to be able to put my own values into the highlight and shadow clipping warning values when viewing Raws.

Too bad then and thanks for the reply.

Not sure if it's the same with CS2 but with ACR in CS4 clipping occurs when one channel hits 255, or 0.

I agree this is not ideal as when printing you need to have the clipping level much lower

For that very reason I like to use values no higher than about 242 and no lower than about 25-27.

Outside of that it is lost to the print anyway.

When moving the exposure you can hold down the ALT key while moving the slider. I think it works for highlight / shadow too
