Its time for a new monitor for editing and I would like a high resolution one. Minimum of 2550 x 1400 but preferably 3840 x 2160. I will need a new graphics card as my GTX 650 only supports 2560 x 1600.

I've read that Photoshop and Lightroom can have scaling issues on high res monitors.

Would appreciate some thoughts from anyone who is using high res monitors.

Can't think of any issues

1440 certainly should be fine. What's a Retina display resolution? Other than cs4 I can't think of issues with that higher res.

What cs are you running?

My 5k iMac is fine with PS and LR.

One thing to know though is that the higher res the monitor the longer it takes for LR to render the image so a more powerful machine can make it all a bit slicker (a better graphics card will make no difference to this).

I've got a CC subscription.

I'm running windows 7 64bit.

i7-3770k overclocked to 4.2GHZ with 16 GB RAM
