Two very nice wildlife style captures Alby, liking them both with #1 being my fav'.

Got my Mk IV yesterday and off to the local lanes to test out the 600mm end.
Bit of a learning curve yet, coming from a Fuji/Nikon background. Here’s a couple of efforts today.

Settings: RAW @ 1/2000th, f/4.0, ISO 200-320, light noise reduction in LR, and a bit of texture/sharpening and cropping.

Thanks Mike, Alby. Gotta get in more practice this weekend as I missed a lovely Goldfinch as I’m not yet set up properly and I couldn’t get the focus point targeted. :(
Pleasantly surprised at how big a crop I could get and still have usable images though :)

Very nice set of wildlife style captures John, although I don't tend to snap birds I still comment as I appreciate good photography.

"I'd be surprised if you're not pleased with the output from your new RX10M4, they are extremely good units to have, Enjoy"

I’m pretty impressed with the Panasonic LT-55 on my rx10 iv has anyone used a conversion lens on there rx10 ?

Yes I do Alby, but not a telephoto converter as I have no need for one of those.

"A time or two ago I had made for me by a buddy back home in the USA a wide angle converter that can get me as wide as about 15mm equivalent and a macro converter which gets me down to twice life size and both units are extremely good optically. The guy that made them for me used to be a lens designer for a well respected lens maker and now makes bespoke lenses for people"

I was hoping for some over the counter recommends, the Panasonic lt-55 is, l feel extremely good. It is a 1.7x crop. I think a wide-angle lens might be useful too along with a good 2x conversion lens.

I've tried a few macro converters but to be honest have never really been happy with the results and always end up back with my trusty A7Rii and 90mm... if 24mm is not wide enough I just fire off a few shots and do a pano :)

RX100 owners. Does this camera have Animal eye af ?
