High Dynamic Range (HDR)

I am thinking of buying photomatrix, unless anyone can tell me of a better option (free would be good:thumbs:). I dont seem to have much success with picturenaut, but I have only tried it by changing the exposure on a single RAW shot and it comes up black everytime.

Mind you the photmatrix trial says that all are exposed the same when I try using the same RAW filed saved with three different exposures.

Any thoughts?

Thanks.

theres a blending program called enfuse, the trial version is free, and for a small donation you can upgrade

Maybe someone here can enlighten me. There are at least a dozen links to Photomatix in this thread. All the them lead directly to the plimus.com page to buy the product (no reviews, nothing about the features of Photomatix) - just the "buy now" page. Many of these links are being posted by different people...and yet! Everyone of them is the exact same "referrer" - slackmedia (the affiliate who make a commission from sales of Photomatix).

Don't get me wrong - there's nothing wrong with making money and Photomatix is great. It's just that the endlessly repeated links - from different accounts with different names - but obviously the same person, definitely smacks of spam to me.

Give it a rest, slackmedia, will ya?

I just posted this and noticed something very weird - everyplace I typed in the word Photom*tix (a for *), it automatically made the link to plimus which will pay a commission to slackmedia if you buy.

Same thing for everyplace I typed "H*R" (D for *).

Is this entire site a spam scam? Seems so. In the blatant money-grubbing spirit, hey, why not join in? Photo*matix Discount Coupon.

You're welcome.

EDIT: This site is complete ********. I just put in a link to my website, above, and some admin-geek-hacker program at this site automatically overrode it and put in...again...it's own link. What an unethical piece of **** site this is! **** all y'all.

Calm down dear. The forum software automatically creates links when certain words are used like photomatix and jessops. It's called advertising and it's how this site is kept free to forum members.
No need to have a paddy over it.

Bye then...

Not a big fan of photomatix myself (just never really got on with it), I much prefer Dynamic Photo HDR.
