just in case anyone was thikning thier uk prices are very competitive and almost too good to be true, they are.

Ordered a lens from them thinking it was going to come from the UK and it came from HK, tax was only £27 but its not the point. Have emailed them my beef, mainly that I had to stand on my doorstep freezing while the UPS man was on hold to take the payment over the phone.
 
thats unlucky, but to be honest i'd never contemplate buying from a site that looks like it's been designed on an etch-a-sketch.
 
haha i wasnt overly impressed with their web design skills either but pennies are pennies. serves me right for being a miser.
 
It's stated in their T&Cs that they ship some stuff from HK and duty/vat might need paying...
 
I just went through trying the order process and it does show that VAT has not been charged.
Normally something that is taken for granted but....

I hope the deal was still worth it.

yeah i only noticed the t&c's after buying, to be honest i was fed up of searching and finding foreign sites so at the first whiff of a .co.uk i snapped it up.

they only declared the value as 50 anyway so the tax wasn't all that much, and still cheaper than UK prices, but it was the principal yesterday!
