Hibernating

I have often thought how nice it would be to hibernate in the winter. Well I havent got to go out for a few days, the weather is awful- cold, windy and snowing heavily- so I have decided to stay in the warm and hibernate. It probably wont last for long as I have a dog who might have other ideas but , at least for the next 24 hours I'm hibernating.

Last time me and the missus "hibernated" due to the cold weather (had planned to do something over that weekend but it got cancelled) 9 months later we became parents.

I've never heard THAT described as hibernating.

That wont happen to me anyway- there's just me and the dog and cat
