Hi I have just joined. My husband recently bought me a Nikon D40 for my birthday and I have discovered the brilliant new hobby of photography. Having 2 young children it really does fit in with my lifestyle well. My camera came with a Nikon 18-55mm AF-S DX Zoom f/3.5-5.6G EDII lens. This is fine to photograph the children however I need a lens with a better zoom to photograph wildlife etc. could anyone please recommed the best lens for me to purchase and the best place to get this from. Your advice would be appreciated as I really am a novice. Many Thanks

P.S I`ve just purchased the 70-300 AF.S VR and I`m very pleased with it.
 
thank you everybody for your replies. I was hoping to get a lens for around £200 but I don't know if this is realistic??
