Never got round to introducing myself but thought I should.

I'm Terry from Lancashire and got into Photography after buying a Nikon D3100 for a trip to Kenya in April 2008. Loved it ever since and tried lots of different types of photography as I can't keep still and pick a genre! Still got my D3100, hope to upgrade due to extra features I would like to have but still have a lot more to learn in terms of lighting, flash, set up etc which the camera will never produce.

Have to say this is one of the friendliest forums I have been on and find myself spending many hours reading the posts and looking at the photos, there's so much to take on!

I have been on some forums, posted a couple of photos when I first got my DSLR and been ripped to shreads which wasn't the best feeling! That doesn't seem to happen here and the information like set ups and guides is greats for the beginner like myself.

Heya and welcome, we are a friendly bunch here, it's never nice to be ripped to shreds and a huge learning curve not to take anything as personal, constructive comments are always good and i know i have learnt loads since joining here, often silly bits that i would never have thought about or noticed
