Hi Everyone,

Really excited to have found this forum and being a member of it now. I am trying to learn tricks of the trade so will be looking forwards towards your suggestions and pointers.

For the starters, I am looking to buy a budget tripod and the link below has the one that I am interested in:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Pro-Fanci...066&pid=100005&prg=1048&rk=5&sd=280883919581&

What are your views on this one ! Any other recommendations, within the similar price range would be much appreciated.

Thanks and God Bless !!

Hi, welcome! :)

Personally, I wouldn't buy that tripod. I had something similar and the clips etc really hurt my fingers and it would still shake so was a useless tripod ;).

The more you can spend the better. Tripods tend to last for decades so worth spending a bit more on a good one (maybe £100 - £200) than keeping on buying cheap ones which will cost you more.

But either way, hope this info helps!! :)

Have a nice time here :).

Thanks Sarah - I've posted my query to the Talk Equipment section now.

Thanks John - I know what you mean but a bit tight on the budget and don't want to miss any of the fun of tripod photography. I don't have very heavy lenses (a canon 550D with 18-55mm kit lens and 55-250 mm lens - total weight won't be more that 2 KGs) so was thinking to first dabble with the cheaper ones and then buy these serious one :)

Thanks for making me feel comfortable here :)
