Hi all,
My names Jim, ive been wanting to get into photography for a few years but not had the money to buy an SLR. I recently got myself a Nikon D5100 with the 18 - 55mm kit lens and its quite a learning curve with iso/shutter speed and apperture lol.
I took the camera on holiday to Tunisia a couple of months ago and had fun trying out different settings although, most of the time it was in auto because for me changing the settings without knowing exactly what the difference will be on a moniter is hard to understand what changes will work at the time. Also its hard for me to remember what settings were for each shot especially when I took going up 3000 images lol.
In the future i'd like to get a macro lens (but have no idea which pref nikkor) and a 55 - 300mm lens too.
