"I'm a Nikon man" ... OK I had a Nikon SLR donkeys years ago, followed by a Nikon dSLR. But last year I discovered the joys, capabilities and convenience of the point 'n shoot pocket cameras they now make. Got a little Panasonic with a Leica lens and I love it! Take it wherever I go (within reason), shoot from the hip, from the ground and no one takes a blind bit notice. What's more, it takes fantastic images on auto mode, then I can spend hours in front of my PC editing them. I still use my much treasured dSLR of course, but not half so much.

I'm glad I found this site. Over the years I've posted pics regularly on sites that are not first-and-foremost photography sites, then a week or two ago I signed up to my first photography web forum only to find it a bit quiet and stuffy.

So, here goes ....

TBH I don't know quite where to start. I don't feel much like starting a new thread by posting one or more pics, then half a dozen people come along and say how they like them ... then the thread fizzles out. :|

Is there a section on the forum where a thread is start on a certain subject like, say, "market stalls", "inside churches" or whatever ... then pics are posted, comments are made, more pics are taken inspired by pic that have been posted so far ... and so on? A never ending ongoing thread -that belongs to no one - on a set subject?
