Hi, I'm new to the forum. I started slr photography in the early '80s with a Canon AE1 Program, and moved to a Canon 400D when it first came out. I've struggled with the move to digital for some reason, so last year I bought a low shutter-count 1Ds Mk1 from MPB, and fitted the same focussing screen the AE1 had. I'm still not 100% happy, so I'm hoping to pickup some useful tips. I've also got a Canon S95 for when I need to travel light.

If shooting the AE1 Program is what works for you, then stick to it! Given the wide range of film and countless resources on the web for film photography that were not available in the 80s, why not?

I prefer the instant feedback that digital gives, but I have kept the AE1 as a fallback.
