I'm John, I live in Newcastle (originally I'm from London) I moved to Newcastle in 2008 to be with the love of my life. I am currently between jobs after being made redundant from government I.I (damn expenditure cuts!) I like to think I lead a normal life, I am a happy go lucky chappy that likes a peaceful life, friendly chats (there is nothing like a good natter) and love meeting new people. I am complete novice at this photography lark and recently (after a lot of careful deliberation) decided to invest in a Sony SLR camera (hopefully this was a good choice for a beginner). I have also purchased SLR for dummies book (which I am half way thru) so hopefully can keep up with the Jargon, the reason for this introduction is that I hope to make photography more than just a hobby and will probably be plaguing this site with my efforts, ideas and questions and thought it was a good idea to introduce myself prior to doing so.
