Hi, First post just thought I would introduce myself before I start posting on here. I'm in my final year at uni and was waiting until I had finished all my exams before signing up and posting but my self control was tested.
I won't be posting much at the moment as I am purely a beginner and won't be getting going with experimenting and snapping until exams are over so my input to the forum will be limited.
I purchased a Refurbished Canon 400D (with kit lens) back in April for £239 from John Lewis after going in to look at the 1000D. Handled the 1000D and wasn't at all impressed with the feel of it... by chance I saw the 400D in the display cabinet and it had just that day been reduced from something like £350 (can only assume it had been sitting around and not selling at the higher price). Anyway I'm relatively happy that I got a good deal and certainly spent a lot less than I was planning to spend. I am happy with it as my local John Lewis are very good with customer after-care and the 400D came with a full year guarantee which provides the same cover as if purchased new.
At the moment my interest in photography is quite general, I have a lot to learn and I'm looking forward to finding and developing a style.
Anyway bit of a long post but just wanted to say "Hi" and make my first post an introduction rather than just jumping in and starting posting. Look forward to learning lots from this forum, you all seem like a top bunch (Have lurked in shadows for a couple of days now watching you all
).
