I've just plunged into the SLR market and bought myslef a NIKON D3000. Apart from being a happy snapper , can anyone suggest any great beginner photo shots to learn from? A little broad I know but your suggestions will be greatly appreciated. Many Thanks, Sutty

probibly the best place to start is something you like to look at.
for example Steam trains , poeple

just enjoy yourself and using the camera.

A good read at the start is "Understanding Exposure" by Bryan Peterson available in all good bookshops and I imagine libraries.
