Hello i am new to photography so thought i had better get some advice
first of all i need to decide which camera to buy i am looking at the Nikkon D3100 or the D5100? any advice will be greatly appreciated thanks everyone

If you can afford it I would say the d5100, it would be a camera that you can keep for longer rather than the d3100 that you might need to upgrade in a few years.

most dslr camera's would suit someone new to the hobby- buy one you feel comfortable with, my advice is go to a camera shop and handle a few, to get a feel ( Oh Matron )
