Joined the site yesterday, had a nose around before joining and looked so good I couldnt not join. I've been interested in photography for nearly 20 years since purchasing my first SLR I then upgraded to a digital SLR about 4 years ago and still dont use it as much as I should it's a canon 350d and love canon cameras, I did start doing the city and guilds photography course but hated the course tutor so gave it up. So I'm hoping this site will help me to use my camera better, and help me to decide whether or not to buy another lens for my camera, I got a 75mm to 200mm but want to take photos of the birds at the bird table and just dont get them in enough detail. I also like taking photos of dogs, horses and just random snow/ice arty type photos.

dont know the Canon 350D, but if you put a "What do I do?" post in the Bird section - you'll get lotsa advice
I have a Nikon with a 55-200mm VR and - having got within 12 feet - got some good shots last week - well for me anyway.....
the birds in my garden have been snowbound for 2 weeks so quite hungry and didn't fly away from the feeders
if you go to a park where they are used to people - your 200mm will do ok !
