Hi people, just a small message to say hi to everyone. Was recommended to come on here to learn everything from the basics to further my photography career. A bit about myself...

I am someone thats always on the go, have alot of interests from sport to photography. I have just got myself a Canon EOS 400D to start off with, i know this isnt the bee's knee's in the camera world but i have been told its a good starter camera to learn from. I am hoping that some facts and points from yourselves (the experts) will help me

Anyway enough about me, thanks for reading and hope to learn with and from you

Sandy

Hi Sandy and a very warm welcome to you, have fun with the new camera.(y)

Thanks steve, looking forward to getting shots up and finding out how to improve them, thanks for the welcome :)

Hi Sandy, I hope you enjoy the forum :welcome:

Hi Sandy, And welcome aboard TP, looking forward to hearing from you and maybe seeing some of your images on the various forums. "Enjoy".

Hi

I am new here too, im robert. nice to hopefully chat to new like minded people with same interest in photography

Hi Sandy. I'm new too. I'm also totally new to photography and right now I'm totally clue-less. My aim is to become a little bit less clue-less over the next months. After that, I'll just take it one step at a time in this minefield… lol :)

what camera do you use? once you get to grips with it, the world is your oyster

Welcome Sandy, Sandrine and Robert! My first advice for those new to photography would be to read your camera manual from cover to cover. Then in 6 months when you've been out using your camera bit more, do it again. Today some bits will mean nothing, in 6 months you'll go "ahhhh, that's what that does!".
