Err slowly ! mainly struggeling with all the settings but thats called learning ;)

Got the camera 350D and the sigma APO lens but not the DG version like Marcel has just ordered. find the weight of it hard to steady at distance with the small 350D, especialy while panning but im getting better at it. Thinking of changing to somthing with IS as this would make up for operator shake :icon_redf (DT's)

Anway chap, hows you ?

welcome dezyboy, Battery grip is the way forward!

Slowly is definitely the way forward. It takes practice and time mate, I still need to improve on my panning skills, the F1 practice session I shot a while ago reminded me of that and more recently a shoot at a triathlon brought my weaknesses to the fore.

A Battery grip will help improve your comfort with the camera and also reduce your wobbles. The added weight might seem to be negative but the benefits outweigh the cons.

I am good, been busy since Christmas, got myself a website that takes a lot of my time ;) The photography I try to keep my hand and eye in and I am planning a major move in the next few months. All is well although at times I wish there were 8 days in a week. :)

I am glad that you found your way here...eventually ;) Obviously you know about the politics from the old place and I now have no access at all there, its no biggy just a shame it had to end that way.

I guess that makes it even better when an old face finds their way here to say hello.

I went to santa pod raceway and was taken shots of cars going up to 320 odd mph, got lots of shots very wrong but have two or three really good ones, one of wich is now my wall paper :thumb: . Just need practice to get my "crud to wallpaper" ratio up ;)

The way I have started to look at it, although it can be disappointing to take 600 shots, and end up with three good ones,...Three good ones is more than none, and the other 597 have cost nothing, and earnt me practise.

It's either think like that or go kick some small children in anger :D

The way I look at it is, the weekend cost me £200 + so thats three expensive photo's, but hell you gotta learn some time
