Hello everyone :)

As you can tell from thread title I have only recently joined, and so far am loving it!

I would really appreciate it if some of you would take a couple of mins to check out my gallery - I would love to have some feedback on my photo's - good or bad!

I have loved photography for years, and as you can prob tell am nothing more than a keen amateur, but I'm always looking to improve and gain as much knowledge as possible from more experienced people (like you lot!)

Please let me know your thoughts

Very nice macro work you've done Andy! I've the same camera as you too :)

The only criticism I can give for your gallery is black and white HDR never really works, especially when the low light tone is used! It looks too unreal!

That's all, other than that. Very artistic shots!

I agree about the HDR - it does look a bit odd. It was a bit of an experimental one!

The credit for the macro shots must go to my Sigma 70mm - cracking lens and highly recommended (although I've seen some bargains on ebay lately for the 105mm)
 
I've tried B&W HDR and it just doesn't work, the whole profile of HDR is to combine exposures and black and white just muffs it up a treat!

Unfortunately for me, I'm gonna have a play with the £8 extension tubes you get from Amazon and see what that does for me, if I like macro work.. I'll probably look into the 105 ;D
