Hi, new but wondering!

Hi everyone,
I am relatively new to this forum, I actually used to read the forum, but only registered recently. It has been great I have already learnt a lot.
I have had a passion for photography for a very long time, but started only a year ago and only recently (2 months ago) upgraded my equipment as I wanted to follow photography more seriously. I'm now 25 so I see a lot of room for growing and learning. My background is design and film so I think I'm on the right track and I hope with great help I can get from here I will learn more and more everyday
As the subject says I'm just wondering about something, I recently saw something in the trade section for sale and when I expressed my interest in buying, the seller said that since I'm new he won't be selling to me, now I appreciate what he says but I'm just wondering why?? Even if I am paying before he posts the item, I would be glad if someone could enlighten me here,

2 Possible reasons...


#1 trust
Depending on how you pay...cc or paypal for example you can try and get your money back even though the tranasction went OK ...pretend item didnt arive or was damaged or other i wont list..not saying you would.. only that its some sellers fear..esp if they ahve already had bad experiences with people they dont know.

#2 TP
Some people join TP to grab bargains.. the seller may just want it to go to a regular contributor to the forums


They are just gueses at two possible reasons... why not simple ask them why not?
