Hey,

It instructed me to start a thread so here one is :D. 'Quite' into photography, don't think I've quite got the eye to go pro or even to justify spending a fortune on a decent DSLR but I enjoy seeing some of my shots come out and am very interested in improving and maybe one day getting my shots out there into the big wide world.

Currently using a cheapy DPoint and Shoot, but am loving its ability to do macros. Most shots I take go onto my facebook, half decent ones end up on my flickr, a few good-ish ones aren't up anywhere.

I like cars and architecture but very rarely know how to take decent shots of either. Have managed a few half decent ones of flowers and bugs, mainly because of the manual focus on my samsung.
 
Welcome Squareoftheyear, (thats one hell of a name) you will soon pick up a lot of good advice on how to improve your hobby on this forum.
The people here are very friendly and at times very amusing, they are also extremely good at helping you to spend your hard earned cash :thumbs:

Thanks for the welcome, the name comes from a slightly poor self image combined with being put on the spot when having to think of a myspace tag. I don't use myspace any more but I continued to use squareoftheyear for flickr, youtube (squareoftheyearFM) and gmail. Oh and I've got the .com and .co.uk as well.
