Hello all! Newbi from West Sussex here! Ive just picked up a Olympus om20 35mm film camera from a charity shop, it came with a flash, two lenses, sun filter and a bag etc.. The camera seems to light up in the view finder when you switch it on , and the shutter makes a noise when the button is pressed, it all looks clean enough on the outside. But there appears to be some small black dots in the view finder and what looks to be a small hair, I removed the lens and held the camera up to the light, and the marks are still visible. Does anyone have any advise please ? Can I clean the marks off in anyway? Or have a bought a dud? Many thanks in advance

Hello Russ :welcome: to the forum

Welcome from West Sussex too.

It will either be dust / debris in the viewfinder or on the mirror - neither or which will affect the images on the film in any way. You could always take a 'rocket blower' to the viewfinder (Don't mess with the mirror unless you know what you're doing!), but I'd not worry - it will soon fill up with dust again - mine always do!

Hi Russ and welcome to TP.

You might be better to post your question in the equipment section - you may get some more responses
Hope you enjoy yourself here :)
