Hello TalkPhotography,
After a year or so of fancying a decent camera, I've gone and bought a Canon 600D plus two lenses; the 18-15mm 3.5-5.6 IS II + 55-250mm IS.
My son will be turning 2 in November, so it's mostly to capture the rest of his childhood, but also for me to have a powerful camera, capable of doing what I want it to do without getting held back by the camera.
I'm thoroughly pleased with my purchase and have taken over 3500 photos in a week and a half.
I'm enjoying nature photography of birds and insects, and am already looking at a dedicated Macro lens, but I'll probably go down the extension tube route (any recommendations?)
The lenses are just enough to get me through our holiday in the first week of September, then I'll look at replacing the 18-55 with a faster lens of similar focal length, and looking to save up for a 100-400mm 4-5.6 L IS USM.
I'll leave you with a couple of shots from my first week with the Canon.

Thanks.
