Hi from the Essex coast

Hi all,

I'm a newbie in all senses.

I'm fairly new to the country having moved over from Ireland to Brightlingsea, Essex in the summer of 2011, and I'm relatively new to photography too.
I bought my first DSLR (Nikon D5000) last may and I'm well and truly hooked.

I've just bought my first prime lens, a 35mm 1.8, which I'm hoping will help improve my photography by forcing me to move around and compose my shots more constructively rather than just zooming in and out.

I look forward to chatting, contributing, and hopefully learning from some or all of you.
