Hello everyone,

I'm Ross, I'm 19 and I'm from Scotland.

I've been interested in photography since I was young. I bought my first DSLR in winter 2010 and since then I feel I've learned a bit about photography and I'm now looking into stepping it up slightly in the sense that I'd like to try more advanced photoshop stuff and shoot other things than cars...

I've just splashed out and bought a 650D. I haven't done a full shoot yet but my god its such a step up from the A390 I used to use. Excellent excellent camera.

I hope to get some filters for it and a 50mm lens soon. On that note... I have 2X 55mm filters - can I get a 3mm threaded adapter type thing to fit my 650D to make them 58mm?

What can I do better in my pictures?

I'm going to be heading to Dukes pass soon for a little drive, I'll get the 650D out to see how it compares with my previous cam!
 
Yes Ross - you can get a 55 - 58 adapter for filters - theyre called "stepping rings" if you want to Giggle for them :)

I purchased a CPL yesterday from Jessops for £30, ouch. I expected it to be better than my eBay effort from the Sony but it really isn't! Disappointed but hey ho!
 
Sometimes life is like that - so long as they work ok though - glad you got sorted
