Hi all

Just to introduce myself - I've just signed up to this forum - it's nice to see a UK based one.

I've been taking pictures for a lot of years now, but really seriously for about 5 years. At that time I joined a local camera club which has a strong line in competition photography. Hence a lot of my images tend to the "competition/exhibition" variety. One example: a picture which has done rather well for me:

Earlier this year I achieved an Associateship of the Royal Photographic Society and am beginning to get invitations to speak at camera clubs, etc.

One of my future plans is to get on the circuit of judges - to this end I am especially attracted to the in-depth critique forum here, as it could be a good way for me to learn to look critically at other people's work (as opposed to only my own).

Welcome to TP Mike :wave:,

Some really good shots there, it's a pity you missed the transport competition by one day, a few of those shots would have had a good chance.

Start posting them here.

BTW where in S London are you?
 
Caledonia .. thanks for the welcome (and the tip elsewhere on how to post!). I'm just a tad south of you: in Sutton.

Thanks for your kind words about the images too. The Underground project was the portfolio I got the ARPS for - it involved getting a permit from London Underground and 14 trips to London specifically for the project over 2 months. Very worthwhile though.

I should also add that I am very into creating AVs.
