Evening! I joined this forum a few days ago because i was interested in buying a proper camera for my road trip around California in the summer. Its been a great help so far to learn about DSLRs. I've gone from owning just a Lumix compact to Canon 450d, 3 lenses, a Lowepro backpack and several other accessories! I shouldn't have looked on this forum!

I'm a Railway signalman but dont have any interest in photographing trains, most pictures on my computer are just holiday snaps, landscapes people etc. But now i own a decent camera i'll be taking pictures of all sorts!

Hi Dave and a very warm Welcome....now you have got the bug for DSLR there will be no stopping you.
Look forward to seeing some steam train photos as well as landscapes, people etc.
