Hello,
(ok so eagle eye forum browsers will see this isn't my frist post!)
I have joing here because I want to be more serious about photography. I am very much a new guy with a camera wanting to learn.
Why did I choose photography as a hobby?
Well my grandad inspired me, he is an entrepreneur and has set up his own business, creating and selling postcards, canvas prints and framed photos. He has been doing this a number of years now and I have always taken an interest in this.
It was about 1 year ago now that I decided to go for it and buy an entry level camera, to start testing the water. I decided to go for price, over camera specs because I was still unsure on how far this would go. I bought the SonyA200 and got it for a good price.
Loved it straight away, but started very much as a point and click photographer. Not capturing anything special, just using it as a normal camera.
I took it to Las Vegas, with just my kit lens of 18-70mm and while there I bought a Sigma 70-300. As I went back to the hotel I switched the lens' and put my old lens, in my new lens' box. Got back the hotel room and they maids had thrown it away! Tried hard to get it back, but it had gone :bonk: (I may have rested it ontop of the bin!). Bit of a pain in the Arse, but these things happen.
On the plus side, I had this new lens which I found to be so clear, I loved it! Ended up buying the cheapest replacement lens I could find for another holiday and ended up getting the Vivitar Series 119-35mm. It was 'OK' for what I want for now.
Just got myself a bargin from ebay (so I think anyway) Sigma 28-105 to replace my fragile feeling Vivitar lens, so I hope I am as happy with this as my other Sigma. I know it might not be the best lens, but for what I want for now I think it should be ok.
I have also added a few of my fave pics I have taken so far. These are non edited, non cropped, non anything! C&C welcome, maybe not be so harsh on my first upload haha.
1. Meercat in Disney's Animal Kingdom
2. Gorilla in Disney's Animal Kingdom - Experiment with shutter speed - no tripod
3. Love in Sea World Orlando
4. Jump! Sea World Orlando
5. I wanna get off! Hollywood Rip Ride Rocket - Univeral Studios Orlando
6. Paradise in the Desert - Bellagio, Las Vegas
I hope this has been set out ok, and I hope you enjoy looking at my (probably boring and basic) photos. As I stated above, any feedback would be very much appreciated.
