Hi Folks, i've been browsing the forum a few weeks now, picking up tips and looking at some stunning work that is displayed on here.
I've had a DSLR for a number of years now (canon 300d) but only used it in the pre set modes, i have recently taken on a night school course learning to use the camera correctly in the creative modes, i've since upgraded to a Canon 40d as the 300 would not allow me to do all the tasks of the course so an upgrade was needed.
i Find looking at others work and the settings you all use very interesting, which is making me think alot more in what i need to do , to get the images i want and produce.
once i sort out a flickr account i'll post images as well so hopefully others can point me in the right direction if things are wrong or to improve what i've done.

i'm nearing the end of the course of which i'm hopeing i can move on to level 2

bigjohn thanks for the heads up as i would have been interested but the dates are my last collage nights, i finish on the 1st feb, we have been into leeds city on the course, around the back of the Hilton, down to clarance docks and city square for the light trails.

Dave thanks for the addon, just installed it, very handy tool :thumbs:

once i have xmas out of the way (i'm in the catering trade and this time of year is a bit of a nightmare) i'll sort out a flickr account and start posting.
 
That's a shame Alan you could have given us all some pointers .
