Hi

My name is Chris. I have just turned 51 and I got my first 'proper' camera in 1978, how many of you remember a Chinon CX!

Now I have well and truly nailed my 'old fart' colours to the mast!

I like to show what the eye can't see and having been an avid fan of biology (hence my user name) since I can remember macro photography is what I like best.

I'm here to learn and hopefully help and also just to talk about photography with people who's eyes don't glaze over when I mention f-stops and depth of field (you've all been there haven't you!)

Often to be found walking my dogs at Temple Newsam, I have more photos of f'ing ducks than I can shake a stick at.

Regards
Chris

Hi Chris and welcome,

I too am a recent convert to the TP Forum and also live in Leeds. Another coincidence is that Temple Newsam is our main dog walking location. Most weekends and weekday evenings (at the time of year that the sun is still up) we're up there with at least two spaniels (more if we are fostering a rescue) and very often with our friends who have another 5 !! As a result our photos from up there consist of animals with 4 legs and don't usually have any ducks on them as they disappear once they catch glimpse of a pack of dogs heading towards the lake :)

Come over and say hello if you see us up there.

As you're from Leeds you might fancy a night shoot meet up??

And, this is one of the better Photography forums, with good, honest criticism and and sound buying advice...

Welcome aboard.

Hmm, well, right county at least ;-)

And with a name like that I already know lots about you and I suspect I'm going to like most of it :D

Welcome. And nice image.

Well I'm an import actually. Born in Worthing so any further South and I'd be French

Mind you I've been here 24 years now and wouldn't go back down south now.
