Hi all,

Been lurking for a while now wondering where to start so I thought I'd introduce myself and get going.

Returning to photography from a break of many years and finding it difficult to recapture the inspiration that used to come naturally. Also finding that there is a lot to learn about digital photography and processing.

Based in Shaldon on the Teign estuary, so if anyone knows of any local clubs/meets I can get involved with then I'd be very pleased to hear about them.

Interests I'm hoping to regenerate are landscapes and flash photography (strobism) which seems to be enjoying a great deal of popularity and enthusiasm at the moment.

Welcome to the forum Mark. I'm sure that you'll find lots to interest you and advice offered, even when you don't want it! Start posting and the rest will follow...
 
Gorgeous part of the world and I suppose landscapes and seascapes are the best things to shoot,of course if you have an interest in transport the paignton and dartmouth railway is just down the road
 
Welcome to the forum Mark. I live near Hartland at the moment and sometimes come down your way to meet some mates for photo days out. Tomorrow is a meet of the British Dragonfly Society on Dartmoor near Plymouth that I may well attend. In August I'll come down for the Dawlish Air Show.

I'm in the same boat with regards to gettign back into photography after a longish break. Get stuck in and post up a few pictures, maybe shoot a few specially for themed challenges.
