Hi,

I've recently signed up here for a bit of research about buying my first dslr. I enjoy taking photos and think I have a relatively good eye for composition although there is always room for improvement!!

I am thinking about buying into one of the big two (nikon or canon) and so far have been looking at a D70 or 400d.

Im looking forward to moving onto something which gives me a bit more control than my current camera and also finding the best way to use it. I use a fujifilm s7000 and also guilty of using my camera phone from time to time too ;)

How do you find the D70?

One thing I find a little confusing is the camera model numbering both for canon and nikon so i need to do a bit more nerding up on that ;)

I think I'm a while away from posting any work on here yet until I get a DSLR, then Im looking forward to any feedback, good or bad the people on here are willing to give.

I've just had a quick look at your flickr, I really like your landscape work particularly the millenium stone @ derwent and some of the cumbrian scenery. You really have captured the vivid colourful beauty of nature. Really nice work. I can't wait to get hold of a DSLR and go roaming myself !!!
