Just joined the forum so thought I'd say Hi
I'd had a Canon 600d for a couple of years that I'd only ever shot a few video's with for work. Over the New Year period my photography mad father-in-law stayed with us and I thought it would be a good time to learn how to use my camera properly. The missus (Claira) wanted to learn as well so borrowed her Dads spare camera and off we all went.
He left his spare with us for a few weeks so we could get out a few more times and we were both hooked. We started reading and watching all we could to learn about our new hobby and when it was time to return his camera I bought Claira the model she liked, a Canon 100d with the two kit lenses and the 50mm f1.8. I "accidentally" bought myself a 7D at the same time with a couple more lenses (very addictive this photography game).
Since then we have been out 2-3 times a week and we're really enjoying it. It's nice to have a hobby that we both enjoy and besides, photography gels really well with our other hobby, our camper van.
I only found this forum today so thought I'd join up. It will be great to hopefully get some good advice in the near future.
Anyway, this is me saying hi,
David
