Hi,
I have lived in Aylesbury for six years now and am pretty settled down and like it there. Love the chilterns and countryside towards Oxford as well.
I got interested in photography as a child after playing around with my dad's secondary SLR but I can't remember what brand it was. Wasn't allowed to touch his Mamiya
I bought a Minolta X-300 in '92 when I was 17 and that lasted till I bought a Canon G3 in 2003. Even though I liked the G3 a lot, I always missed a proper SLR camera but the price of a set of lenses held me back.
Well, I just did it! Bought a DSLR. Had a hard time choosing between Canon and Nikon, 500D or D5000, but in the end went for the Nikon D5000. Also bought a Sigma 10-20mm 3.5 and an Nikon SB-900 flash. I hope I'll be happy with it all
Over the next couple of years I'll hopefully expand with a Sigma 30mm 1.4 a medium tele zoom like the Sigma 50-150mm 2.8 and possibly a teleconverter.
Most of my photography is holiday shots, love landscapes, and do the usual family and event photography which is where the flash will come in handy as well.
Thanks
