Hello everyone :)

I'm Gary and as the title suggests I live in Aberdeen.

A few months back I got (as a gift) a Nikon D40 with both 18-55 and 55-200mm lens kits.

I don't know much about cameras but I have read comsumer review that have said the D40 is a good place to start as a budget camera. Hopefully as my knowlege (and enthusiasm) grows I will be able to upgrade to more advanced models.

I'm hoping that I can draw on the experience of the other forum users and produce some pics that are even half as good as some that I have browsed through.

I've never shot with a D40 myself, but I am sure someone will come along who can point you in the right direction :D
 
welcome along mate, im from aberdeen too, i do alot of car shoots for a couple of magazines aswell.
