I'm a complete novice when it comes to cameras and photography but, with a young family, I'd like to improve the quality of the pics that my current camera gives. I'm looking at either a Nikon D3100 or a Canon 550D. The Nikon's quite a bit cheaper but I prefer the idea of having a Canon TBH, although I don't know why that is! I need to go and have a look at them to see how they feel.
Anyway, I'm off to have a look around the site.
