only just joined so as it says Hello folks.
i started photography last April after getting made redundant.
originally got a nikon p100 bridge to take pics of wargame figures i was selling,but enjoyed taking camera out and about too with family. luckily money i got from selling figures was a lot more than i expected. so one nikon D5000 with kit kens and a tamron 70-300 later and i am totally hooked. since then i have got a lowepro bag another lens nikor 18-105 and a black rapid r4 sling.

i love getting out and about taking photo's most of the time my 4 year old grandson comes with me,when he is not at school.he has a fisher price digital camera too. looking into getting a flash gun soon.

since i started both my sons have taken an interest too and one even has his own camera now too.(saves him wanting to borrow mine)

if i had done a bit more research when buying i think i would have ended up with a nikon d90. so i could have used non motor lenses.that is the only downside i can find with my nikon D500. but saying that i find it a great camera and better than my skills. although i have progressed to using manual mode for the past 4 months. it feels like i am cheating when i use A or S modes now.
moving on to look at flash photography now, just need to get a flashgun
