Been a lurker for quite a long time so thought it was time I joined the 'party'
my name is Chris and I have been into photography for 'donkeys years'

I am also a member of the other 'popular' forums - and as such know quite a lot of the names on here
my main interest is sports and aviation - although I also like taking pics of most things

I use Canon gear these days, after starting out with a Practika 35mm SLR about 20 years ago
any way enough of my ramblings.....

Am I right in thinking I met you at Blackpool ages ago, at a cancelled kite-surfing competition? or that could have been busterboy... hmm... my memory is pretty damn bad.

dont know whether I should talk to you now that your famous with all this HDR 'malarky':clap:
well done with that by the way.. some great pictures in that article

I was also lucky enough to get a picture in 'Maxim' a couple of months ago - so it helps with the ever increasing travel and equipment buying

its funny (photography) we go all over the country (and abroad) and end up getting 'no return' for our efforts
such as the day Dreederuk mentioned further up in this thread, travvelled the 80 miles to Blackpool for a Kite surf comp... and the event gets called off 30 mins before the start:bang:

that was about 18 months ago (I think) but this year has been a disaster for events and shocking weather

the worst been going to central Holland for an Airshow and the weather was appalling and came back without a single picture worth a damn
